Pan’s Labyrinth isn’t the only movie where a seemingly delicious feast is cursed. Early in the movie, Chihiro and her parents happen upon a huge steaming feast in an abandoned town.
While her parents pile their plates high, Chihiro realises something is up and refuses to join them in stuffing their faces full of all the tasty treats on offer. And with good reason. As darkness falls and she returns to her parents, they’ve become pigs. And somehow they’re still making their way through that enormous feast.
The rest of the movie sees Chihiro going deeper into the world of No Face with the guidance of Haku, but will she escape this mysterious new world she has become trapped in?
