3. Tony Stark Will Sacrifice Himself

The Theory

Despite the major assumption that Captain America would be the one to give his life to defeat Thanos (since it fits his arc to stand up to bigger bullies no matter what the odds), there's a pretty big theory that Tony Stark will actually be the one to give his life.

Expect him to go down in a blaze of glory, helping defeat Thanos in the process.

Why It's Believable

Tony has tried to kill himself a couple of times for the greater good and he's already said quite openly that he cannot quit being a hero (as long as he knows there's an Earth to protect) despite the threat of losing everything. Stark now also has the added guilt of Peter Parker's death on his hands (though truthfully there was nothing he could do) and if he gets an opportunity to trade places, it would be awfully fitting for him to take it.
