10 Most Boring Blockbusters Of All Time

4. Transformers: Age Of Extinction

Man Of Steel Behind The Scene
Paramount Pictures

If Age Of Extinction built to something or had any narrative tension it might’ve been bearable, but in the hands of a filmmaker more interested in product placement than narrative it feels like time’s standing still. At 165 minutes, this is the biggest Transformers of them all (or at least the most bloated)

It’s one long slog to the end credits, and you could be forgiven for thinking you’re watching a cartoon on an endless loop because it’s just three hours of watching robots pummel each other punctuated by commercials for beer and lingerie. It’s enough to give soulless and crassly commercial filmmaking a bad name.

If nothing else, the movie proves what the fast food industry has known all along: there’s always some chump willing to pay for processed garbage, not just once but time and time again.
