The most brutal Bond film and not the only time that it will appear on this list. We only see very little, it's what's implied that really makes this a brutal one. The last we see of Della, she is being held at knifepoint as Felix, her husband and long-term friend to Bond, is knocked out.

This is indeed a case of what isn't seen is most effective as the implication later on is that she was raped and murdered by baddie Sanchez' men. A horrible way for a completely innocent character to die and all of her suffering happened offscreen. Her death, along with the attack on Felix, is what causes Bond to resign from MI6 and go rogue, allowing the film to explore territory that Bond hadn't been seen in previously.
