10 Most Brutal Slasher Movie Killers

6. Michael Myers

Terrifier Art the Clown
Universal Pictures

(First appearance: Halloween - 1978)

The Shape, the boogeyman, or even evil on two legs - whatever it is that you decide to call Michael Myers, the fact remains that this vicious force of nature is the pinnacle of evil that all before and after aspire to match, or even surpass.

Just like Leatherface before him though, his first movie effort wasn't the bloodbath that some seem to deem it as. This isn't to say that every iteration that ensued followed this same mentality. Gone is the mysterious preservation of Michael Myers' inner demon(s) and replaced at the forefront is a shadow of the formerly subjugated Myers; one that refuses to stop for any man, woman, animal, or even child.

Never was this more apparent than when we explored his childhood a little further in Rob Zombie's ultra-violent remake. Myers is rewritten as a distressed adolescent who is more sympathetic than most, stacking up some of his most unhinged kills at the mere age of ten years old - including the brutal beating of a boy without a slither of remorse.

The restraint that he managed to maintain throughout his first cinematic interpretation, interlocked with his disappearance for the third entry, have allowed his newer competitors to out-slash him in ways too revolting for Michael to counter.
