10 Most Brutal Slasher Movie Killers
7. Candyman
(First appearance: Candyman - 1992)
Candyman. Candyman. Candy... this probably isn't a good idea.
Candyman is an ideological being that exists to represent a social commentary as much as he does to incur sweet, honey tasting revenge on those who are hapless, complacent, or just simply dimwitted enough to believe they can escape the sting of this personified hive of killer bees.
Daniel Robitaille (as he was named during his former life) was an artist, whose picture perfect artistry allowed him to live amongst white society during the 1800s. This was until he fell in love with a white woman, and so pays the ultimate price: getting stung to death courtesy of the bees that now reside within him as well as having his hand relinquished to a hook that would become this artists' new paintbrush. His own distinct methodology of malevolence was created in the process.
Creating uncomfortable imagery with this new tool seems to embrace only a single colour from the sparing palette at his disposal. Maintaining a focus on literal blood red, Candyman has racked himself up a rap sheet of models that were less than willing to take part in his newly-found experimental art movement.
