10 Most Brutal Slasher Movie Killers

3. Jigsaw

Terrifier Art the Clown
Lionsgate Films

(First appearance: Saw - 2004)

The primary antagonist of the Saw franchise, Jigsaw is unique for being your not-so average working-class man, one whose role as a civil engineer transitioned to him channelling fear rather than contributing to society. If you ask him though, his answer may differ a little bit.

Infamous for his torturous methods involving intricate puzzles that his victims must solve in order to gain a second chance at the life that they've taken for granted or taken liberties with, he views himself as something of a God-like figure, challenging people to seek the value of their own lives whilst giving them an ultimatum that rescinds the option to withdraw.

Never is this better exemplified than in the original flick, in a scene that puts a character (Amanda) in a cranium-situated bear trap that even the most decorated of engineers would be envious of. She's forced to rip out the intestines of a still breathing man in order to attain the key that gives her freedom, proving that when Jigsaw wants to play a game; it requires your participation... Or your life. The choice is yours.

While this creative sociopath may be a shoe-in for the front runner, he instead becomes an all-too fragile forerunner to the latter two.
