Our next Batman caused the Internet to implode when it was announced that he will be taking on the role of the Dark Knight. How can he do the role justice? Asked p*ssed off fanboys, and it was a good question because nothing on Afflecks CV shows us that he will have the necessary gravitas to give Batman the menace he needs. If Ben Affleck jumped in front of you in a Batman outfit, you are more likely to p*ss yourself out of uncontrollable laughter than fear.
There is still a chance that he might surprise everyone and earn our respect in the same way his recent directing work has, but looking at his stints in Pearl Harbor and as Daredevil (to name a few), the evidence suggests that Afflecks smartest move would have been to build up his career as a credible director rather than chasing the acting dream.
Almost every role he has taken on has stunk, and watching Man Of Steel 2, you are not going to be able to escape the voice in your head that keeps reminding you that it is Ben Affleck in the bat suit.
However, the one area he has a chance of excelling in is as Batmans alter ego Bruce Wayne, because no one is going to believe that the man is Batman, so he has an advantage over all the other actors who have taken on the famous role.
