Has any man in the history of film ever regretted an affair as much as poor Dan Gallagher, played quite franticly by the brilliant Michael Douglas? At her best, Alex Forrest (Glenn Close) was a zany fashion editor with some kind of freaky sex appeal. She had a screw loose, sure, but she looked like she knew how to have fun. When Dan's wife returns to the picture though, he calls off the affair, sending Alex absolutely potty. Cue endless scratching, self-harm, stalking, kidnap and most famously, bunny boiling. You know you've done your job as a psycho when crazy women of the world are named 'bunny boilers' after your masterpiece. Kudos must go to Glenn Close, her wild hair and angular body.
