7. "It's The Car, Right? Chicks Love The Car" - Batman Forever
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRmJKuIKdpw When Dr. Chase Meridian (played by Nicole Kidman, easily one of the best things in the film) starts hitting on Batman, he apparently can't help but reply, "It's the car, right? Chicks love the car". While it might suit the cheesy, campy tone that Joel Schumacher was shooting for with these films anyway, all it elicited me was a groan. It's not at all in step with anything Batman should ever say, but then, in a film that's got Riddler bobbleheads, and Two Face having his face painted in two exact halves, it's probably a minor complaint. Schumacher's film is underrated in several aspects - the production design is excellent, the score is great, and Jim Carrey is endlessly charismatic and energetic as The Riddler - but it does itself no favours by fielding out rote dialogue like this.
