2. Burning Slash - Dragon Ball Z
I know, shocker, a Dragon Ball Z attack that isn't the Spirit Bomb or Kamehameha wave? Well just hear me out for this one. In the original manga run, after Frieza and Goku had their showdown on the planet Namek, Goku was presumed dead and Frieza was alive. He had survived a Kaioken x20 Kamehameha wave with just one hand and a Spirit Bomb after he had already taken a beating from Goku and Piccolo. When he arrived on Earth things looked grim. Future Trunks proved the saving grace. The time travelling teen took out Friezas men before beginning the long line of Super Saiyans who would appear after him and Goku. Trunks then went on to deflect both of Friezas attacks and bring him down with one attack, one strike. What Goku took almost an entire season to do Trunks did in one strike. No other main villain has been taken out in that way since, all have required a substantial beating before one final attack defeats them. The Burning Slash is a three part attack, the first is the distraction. Trunks gathers his ki and fires off his original technique, the Burning Attack and launches it at the enemy. Assuming the foe dodges it this sets them up for a counter while they're distracted. Trunks then slashes vertically downwards from above, cleaving the opponent in two and follows up with multiple slashes to dice them up even further. The final stage is a large blast of energy from his hand which vaporizes the pieces of his fallen victim. Stylish, slick and above all fast. The Burning Slash shows that you don't have to stretch out a battle for a season to get the point of power across.
