1. Writing Someone's Name - Death Note
Oh come on you knew this one would be here. Insta-death just by writing someones name, that's far more devastating that the others. OK, so I'll explain where this attack came from for the three of you who probably don't know. Light Yagami was the brightest student in his class but felt bored by the world. At the same time Ryuk, a death god from the other world, came to earth and dropped his "Death Note" which Light found. Ryuk explained that by writing someones name in the Death Note and picturing them in your head you could kill them. Not only that but specify the cause of death, when it would happen and how it would effect the people around them. Light uses this power very effectively though is thwarted by not knowing an opponents name or face. Once these are discovered however it's easy enough to bring down an enemy with the simple stroke of a pen. While it might not seem that effective as an attack based on knowing someones name might have severe limitations, just think about it. How many characters in an anime are either hyped up with a lot of people saying their names or introduce themselves in such an extravagant way that you'll never forget their names? Exactly.
