4. Judge Dredd - Judge Dredd
If you're a stocky actor of limited acting ability, Judge Dredd is, like, your ideal character to play, because all you're required to do is run around with a helmet cover the top half of your face, occasionally deadpanning phrases like: "I am the law." And yet, despite the fact that those conditions were upon Sylvester Stallone when he decided he wanted to massacre one of the greatest comics in history, he still screwed up the character. And that's without mentioning the fact that somebody said it was cool for Rob Schneider to be in this movie. The actual movie aside, though, Stallone's characterisation of Dredd was so heartbreakingly wrong that fans of the comic probably went outside into the street afterwards and threw themselves into oncoming traffic. Even on the most basic levels, Stallone fails: why is Dredd taking off his helment, for one? I'll just quote Judge Dredd creator John Wagner to finalise what I'm saying here, because he makes my point in a way that means I don't have to type it out: "The story had nothing to do with Judge Dredd, and Judge Dredd wasnt really Judge Dredd."
