5. The Kraken - Clash Of The Titans

If a God character shouts "Release the Kraken!" in a movie, no matter how rubbish the events leading up to that moment have been, we want to see results. We deserve to see results. And though the remake of Clash of the Titans was about as bad as they come (too much CGI, not enough anything else), I don't remember ever feeling more disappointed during the reveal of a giant octopus monster than I did with this one. Did they, like, run out of brain creativity at this part? What happened, makers of this movie?

In a blockbuster packed to brim with problems, it probably seems kind of insane to complain about this villain, but c'mon - it's the Kraken! Its release means that you've annoyed a God badly enough to justify a giant, terrifying and probably unstoppable ocean giant coming out and killing everyone! But as soon as this bad boy emerges from the depths (which takes about an hour), it's vanquished instantly. I waited for the whole movie for Liam Neeson to release that? Not only was it disappointing, but it was totally pathetic. "Return the Kraken!"
