6. King Koopa - Super Mario Bros.

I don't know what I was expecting with this one, but it sure as hell wasn't this. Imagine yourself as a child of around ten years old, eager and excited to go see the new Super Mario Bros. movie. Bob Hoskins as Mario, okay... John Leguizamo as Luigi, I guess that works... and then picture the moment that King Koopa steps out, a character who - for all intents and purposes - is supposed to be a giant and rather terrifying lizard monster.

And it's... Dennis Hopper, with, like, a forked tongue and a dorky haircut? Nowadays, of course, King Koopa would have been rendered wholly in CGI, which is probably what they would have done had this thing been released at a time when technology had advanced to such a point. But since that wasn't at all possible, we got this: a humanoid Koopa resembling the video game character in - count them - zero ways. Actually think about what's happening here. It's insane, and that movie ruined my life.
