10 Most Disturbing British Movies Ever

9. The Human Centipede 2

The first instalment on horror filmmaker/ cult movie provocateur Tom Six's aptly-titled body horror trilogy The Human Centipede was released to critical disinterest in 2010 when reviewers were both relieved and simultaneously aggrieved to discover the movie was surprisingly tame in its limited depiction of the titular monstrosity.

Filmed in Britain only to be banned there, The Human Centipede: Second Sequence was a 2011 sequel which intended to redress this balance, only to inarguably tilt too far in the opposite direction.

Yet another attempted black comedy, this flick is a grim ordeal whose arty black and white photography couldn't hope to make its smug self referential storyline any less annoying.

Nonetheless, bad as the flick is, its prolonged depictions of genital torture, sexual assault, child murder, and all forms of depravity make it an inevitable addition to this list.
