10 Most Embarrassing DVD Commentaries Ever

5. Eli Roth Calls His Critics "Faggy" - Cabin Fever

For the DVD release of his low-budget horror hit Cabin Fever, writer-director Eli Roth recorded an insane five separate commentaries - four with various members of the cast, and then a final one solo.

That's almost eight hours of Roth talking about his film, and though the filmmaker does provide occasional insight, for the most part these commentaries rehash a lot of the same information and also reveal just how much of an exasperating Bro he actually is.

The most questionable moments include Roth discussing the film's use of the N-word and its exhausting abundance of homophobic slurs, which he sees no problem with whatsoever.

In fact, in a moment that hasn't aged well at all, Roth even "jokes" that calling the movie homophobic is a "faggy thing to say." See the offending clip for yourself at 14:15 in RedLetterMedia's recent review of the movie below.

All in all, despite Roth's clear love for the horror genre, he's an exhausting guy to listen to, and that lurches into obnoxiousness when he says embarrassingly juvenile things like this.
