10 Most Embarrassing Fake Accents In Movie History

4. Kevin Costner - Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=KXTj5nd2oKQ Most people agree that Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves was a "rollicking good time at the movies." Most people also agree that Kevin Costner's attempt at an English accent is absolutely horrific in every sense of the word. It is an insult to everything that has ever been said by an Englishman, because it simply refuses to play fair. Instead, Kevin wields the accent like a fly swatter, slapping you in the face with it whenever he gets a chance, and forcing you to hear it into your ears. What did we expect, you say? Well, that's true: Costner isn't exactly known for his "good acting", anyway, but did nobody bother to tell him that he sounded like a during the making of this thing? I mean, the man was working alongside Alan Rickman, who you would've thought might've leant in at one point and said, "When are you going to do the real accent, Kevin?" It was so bad, in fact, that it even made Costner's acting all "one-dimensional" and "wooden." At least, I think it was the accent. Also Christian Slater is doing an English accent in this movie, and it's nearly as bad as Kev's. Worse, probably. It's a real toss-up.
