10 Most Embarrassing Moments For Comic Book Villains

1. "Rubber Lips Are Immune To Your Charms" (Batman & Robin)

Batman & Robin might get a bad rap, but there's no denying that Chris O'Donnell's Boy Wonder was able to deliver one of the most earth-shattering takedowns in comic book history in its final act.

With George Clooney's Batman and Alicia Silverstone's Batgirl out to face Bomberman Bane and Arnie's Mister Freeze, Robin (who'd already been bested by all three of the film's villains at this point, let's not forget), takes on Ivy in her own lair. This isn't any ordinary showdown however - this time, Robin's out to win.

His weapon of choice? A covert pair of rubber lips, designed to protect the wearer from (one would assume) any kind of lip-based poison attack. Thinking that she has Robin right where she wants him, she kisses him, withdrawing smugly as she awaits for the poison to take hold - but this is one kiss that Ivy couldn't plant.

The look of shock on Ivy's face tells it all, really. But let's face it, who would've thought that rubber lips would, in fact, be immune to her charms?
