10 Most Embarrassing Supervillain Film Costumes

6. Mr. Freeze (Batman & Robin)

Batman & Robin is a total embarrassment, the kind of movie you only watch if you€™re drinking with a bunch of friends and want something to make fun of. And even then, it may not be the ideal choice. Virtually the entire movie from beginning to end was ridiculous, with Arnold Schwarzenegger€™s Mr. Freeze nearing the top of the list. Mr. Freeze needs a cryogenic suit to survive. But the movie made this suit unnecessarily flashy. They removed the glass dome helmet and the emotionless red goggles that helped give the character an added air of mystery and creepiness to him. Instead, they gave him a suit of armor with bright blue lights everywhere, including a mouthpiece that glowed whenever he spoke. Throw in some ridiculous capabilities for the armor, like wings and a jetpack, and it was just far too much. Even worse was when Freeze was out of the armor and he was depicted as lounging around in a robe, smoking a cigar (how does that make any sense) and€ polar bear slippers. Mr. Freeze doesn€™t have to be physically imposing, but he needs to be creepy and emotionless. Schwarzenegger€™s version epitomizes the complete opposite€”a joke of a character made even more outlandish by his ridiculous puns.
