10 Most Emotional Moments From Star Wars: The Force Awakens

4. R2-D2€™s Depression

One of the highlights and fan favourites of the franchise to date is R2-D2. Hell, this was a character the even came out of the prequel trilogy with credit €“ quite the impressive feat. When we see R2 here, though, it€™s a sad state of affairs. Like a faithful hound missing his master, we find out that R2-D2 has placed himself in low power mode ever since Luke Skywalker vanished. It€™s a heartbreaking moment in and of itself, but it€™s especially hard-hitting because it involves one of the most beloved characters in the franchise in a complete rut. Sure, when it comes down to it, he€™s a droid, but it€™s still just so demoralising and upsetting to see our beloved R2-D2 in mourning.
