https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCpQXqEI7EE In April, Ultimate Warrior had literally just reconciled with the WWE, after having made his first appearances on WWE television after decades, had finally been entered into the hall of fame, but hours later, The Warrior passed away. It was one of those moments that made us contemplate the nature of life and mortality, you could be here one day, gone the next. His death shocked audiences, countless fans, the WWE itself who had seen him alive and well just hours prior. WWE pulled out all the stops for his send off, with the ten-bell salute, interview segments with stars from his era, and a video package showing Ultimate Warrior back in his prime. The most sad element of this tribute though is simply the fact that it was so surprising, so shocking, so surreal. His memorable words to his young daughters during the Hall of Fame ceremony 'The most awesome thing I've ever done is be your father', was likely one of the last things he ever said to them. The death of The Warrior was sudden, tragic and unexpected given it was days after his comeback, but a proper WWE sendoff helped cement his legacy as a legend.
