7. Apollo Creed (Rocky)

Even if he doesn't end up being such a stereotypically "bad guy" in the end, Apollo Creed certainly occupies that space for much of the first Rocky's duration. And oh how fun it is to hate Carl Weathers when he first shows up in the film. Creed is Muhammad Ali turned up to 11 and with the filter completely removed. He's arrogant, he's loud, and his theatrics border on self-parody. It's awesome. Creed pops so much largely thanks to the simple dullard he's positioned against, with Rocky Balboa coming off as a well-meaning straight man just begging to interact with an over-the-top foil. And Weathers is exactly the right amount of ridiculous...which is to say he's exorbitantly ridiculous. And it just works.
