10 Most Epic Uses Of F*ck In Movie History

5. The King's F*cking Speech (The King's Speech)

The Scene: Did anybody really see this one coming? The King's Speech tells the tale of the prim and proper King George VI (Colin Firth), a man struggling with a stammer, who visits speech therapist Lionel Logue (Geoffrey Rush), in order to cure his problem.

So it was quite a surprise to see the royal rascal burst out into a stammer-less fit of foul-mouthed cussing, complete with all the usual suspects, including a hefty dosage of the f-bomb.

George's initial reluctance to utter the f-word makes it all the more funny when he throws caution to the wind and blurts it out numerous times, turning the scene into something of a musical rendition of our most beloved swear words.

Just don't sing this one in public.

Humour Rating: King George VI swearing like he's got Tourette's syndrome, while Captain Barbossa laughs on in the background? It's insane. The odd nature of the scene does give it comedic value, but Firth is holding back somewhat (as his character would, and should), so it only hits a moderate high. 5/10

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
