7. Martin Scorsese & Paul Schrader's Christianity Series
You won't find many 78-year-old directors busier than Martin Scorsese, who in addition to currently shooting his long-awaited western crime drama Killers of the Flower Moon, was just confirmed to be working on a new streaming project about Christianity.
In a recent interview, Scorsese's regular screenwriter collaborator Paul Schrader revealed that the pair are developing a three-year series about the origins of Christianity.
Catholic guilt is of course one of the major thematic pillars of Scorsese's filmography - particularly in the Schrader-penned The Last Temptation of Christ - and though Schrader didn't go into the finer details of the project, he did confirm it would be a dramatic series rather than a documentary.
It's probably reasonable not to expect the show to materialise any time soon given that both filmmakers have their plates full with movie projects - in Schrader's case, his Oscar Isaac-starring thriller The Card Counter - but it's in the pipeline at least.
