Key Work: Bridesmaids Most Recent/ Upcoming Project: Imogene The biggest success story out of all the women in the list, Bridesmaids was quite rightly the sleeper hit of last summer, because it was the funniest comedy of last year. It provided an antidote to the wave of blokey comedies with the same guys in the, full of jokes about weed and dicks- and at the same time showed the girls could be just as crude, and actually a lot funnier than many of the men. And this is in no small part thanks to the blinding script by Wiig, who finally got the recognition she deserved after years slaving away in scene-stealing bit parts and SNL. Now working on more serious fare as an actress with Walter Mitty and Imogene (which she has produced), Wiig is a force to be reckoned with, and as amazing as Tina Fey is, it's time for a new girl to take the limelight.
