10 Most Expensive Movies With 0% On Rotten Tomatoes

9. Jaws: The Revenge - $23 Million

Ridiculous 6 Adam Sandler
Universal Pictures

Jaws 4, The film that finally killed one of the most disappointing franchises in movie history.

The final embers of Steven Spielberg's iconic shark-based blockbuster were extinguished when this monstrosity hit cinema screens in 1987. In this one, Chief Brody's widow is convinced that a shark is following her because it wants revenge on her family.

A shark. Is following. A person. Yep, that makes sense.

This fundamentally goes against what makes the original Jaws so scary - the shark in that one kills at will because it is a force of nature. It does not somehow gain sentience and learn where the Bahamas are so it can stalk someone.

Despite having well over twice the budget on the first film, Jaws: The Revenge sits 97% lower on Rotten Tomatoes than its great-grandfather.

The film consistently appears in lists of Worst Sequels or straight-up Worst Movies ever made and, with the state of its script, acting, and special effects, it's easy to see why.

At least it gave us this Michael Caine quote - "I have never seen it, but by all accounts it is terrible. However, I have seen the house that it built, and it is terrific!"

Pure gold.
