7. WALLE (WALLE)
In 2008, Pixar released what is sometimes regarded as being their single best film, WALLE. The film had so many different meanings and messages in it that it was hard to keep track of them all. Nonetheless, the movie garnered absolute acclaim, winning Best Animated Feature from numerous ceremonies, including the Oscars, BAFTAs, and Golden Globes. But what stands out in people's memory the most is WALLE himself. The little guy has become an iconic image, and is frequently regarded as being one of the most imaginative film characters of all time. For two examples, he won the "Breakout Performance" prize at the Scream Awards (a rarity for a hardly-speaking animated character) and was named as the 63rd best movie character of all time by Empire Online, ranking ahead of The Bride from Kill Bill, Napolean Dynamite, Keyser Soze from The Usual Suspects, and Atticus Finch from To Kill A Mockingbird.
