10 Most Important September 11 Movies

5. Fahrenheit 9/11

9/11 was just the start of a story that would continue throughout the rest of the naughties. This was clear from very early on, with the first couple of years after the attack brining us President George W. Bush starting the War on Terror and the US and UK entering into the Iraq War. Less than a year after the war in Iraq began, renowned documentary maker Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11 premiered. The film looked at many facets of the Bush regime, including the notorious Florida recount of the 2000 Presidential election, the relationship between the President's family and the Taliban and, most prominently, the war itself, with particular focus put on how the media reacted to it. The 9/11 attacks play a part in Moore's arguments about Bush's manipulation, but what's most interesting is how the President reacted to learning about the attack; when the attacks occurred Bush was reading to schoolchildren and, even after hearing about the second plane hitting, didn't leave until he'd finished the book. The film is a great dissection of the American Government, but in reference to 9/11 it's one of the most potent examples of the political effect of the attacks.
