10 Most INAPPROPRIATE Scenes In Kids Movies
6. Nightmarish Toons - Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)
We all love a nice film about an alcoholic detective tasked with investigating cartoon rabbit accused of first degree murder, right?
By all accounts, it's incredible that Who Framed Roger Rabbit is recognised as one of the best children's films ever.
Sure, there's colourful toons to keep the kiddie winks occupied - and that final scene when what feels like every animated character on earth shows up is a great opportunity for everyone to see if their favourite makes an appearance. (Bambi? Check.)
But dive just a little deeper, and you realise the cartoons are basically there to mask a very mature storyline. Jessica Rabbit had no real business being that sexualised (although she isn't to be blamed for how she's drawn, and besides, she did end up as potentially the most iconic character from the movie), dissolving the helpless show in the toon-destroying "dip" was traumatising, and the mob weasels are definitely a choice.
But without doubt the most questionable scene comes right at the end, with Judge Doom revealing his true evil intentions. Who thought Christopher Lloyd with massive, animated bug eyes and a screeching voice that sounds like it came from the bowels of Hell was appropriate for the kids?
It might not have been the most surprising reveal, but it's definitely one of the scariest.
