10 Most Inconsistent Actors Working Today
9. Eddie Redmayne
When Eddie Redmayne shot into the public consciousness in 2014 for his Oscar winning portrayal of Stephen Hawking in "The Theory of Everything," all bets were on this charming young man going very far indeed.
Sure, he'd been in a few questionable productions before that, but as a working actor you've got to do what you've got to do. And now that Redmayne had star power on his side, he could do whatever he wanted.
He followed this worthy win up with a relatively small, (admittedly Oscar baitey) film called "The Danish Girl," for which he won decent critical acclaim, if not mainstream interest.
However, Redmayne must have thought things were going a little too well for him, so he also decided to appear in 2015's "Jupiter Ascending." That film... yeah. That film was bad. And he was arguably one of the worst parts of it, snagging a Razzie for his baffling performance.
Since then, Eddie's not done much outside of his lukewarm portrayal of Newt Scamander, and his once bright future has turned into a very rocky present.
Oh, he's also been in "Les Miserables." Whether that's good or bad seems to depend on your general opinion towards the concept of musicals. DO YOU HEAR THE PEOPLE SI-
