10 Most Inconsistent Actors Working Today

2. Kirsten Stewart

If there's one woman who's experienced both the highest highs and the lowest lows that the acting experience has to offer, it's Kristen Stewart.

In 2010, she was the world's highest paid actress, beating out the likes of Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron. By 2012, she had all but dropped off the face of the Earth, ending the Twilight saga before evaporating into obscurity like a Vampire turning to mist.

She returned in 2014 with "Camp X-Ray," an intriguing and harrowing look into the practises of Guantanamo Bay, and a far cry from her days as a boring and emotionally bereft Dracula enthusiast.

Since then she's put in some incredibly solid performances in several independent films like "Certain Women" and "Cafe Society"; her off beat and quirky style clearly lending itself better to smaller character studies than big blockbusters.

And it's the blockbusters where she still falls down. While Stewart was probably the best part of the film, the "Charlie's Angels" reboot landed with all the skill and grace of a dead elephant, and her attempts at a thriller film in "Underwater" was even more painful.

The advice here, then, is look at the budget. If it's in the billions, Stewart's performance probably isn't worth it.
