10 Most Inconsistent Actors Working Today
3. Ben Affleck
One has to wonder whether Ben Affleck tosses a coin before deciding how to act in/shoot a movie. Heads - Oscar winningly good. Tails - "Daredevil."
Affleck EMBODIES the term inconsistent, never putting in too many good or too many bad performances in succession. And most of his performances could be argued either way.
Even his take on the same character is inconsistent, putting in a grounded and violent portrayal of Batman in "Batman Vs. Superman," before lazily phoning in the same character on "Justice League." Seriously, how hard is it to put on a rubber suit and punch aliens for millions of dollars?
It was the same after "Good Will Hunting", considered by many to be Affleck's best and most thought provoking film. Affleck then for some reason decided to be in a mindless action film about blowing up an asteroid. Talk about from one extreme to the other.
As recently as last year his performance credentials have been called into question, with his milquetoast and forgettable work in "The Accountant" and "Live by Night."
But even then, he followed up said performances with his heartbreakingly honest look at alcoholism in "The Way Back."
Seriously, this man is a bookies worst nightmare.
