2. Jack Nicholson Demands Dildos & Cocaine - The Departed

That might as well be a headline taken from a random '70s newspaper, given that we're talking about Jack Nicholson here, but unfortunately we're only dealing with cinematic demands this time. Still, this is a pretty noteworthy actor-based request, given that it ended up in the movie.

So during the making of Martin Scorsese's Oscar-winning crime flick The Departed, Nicholson decided that the movie should include a scene with a) a dildo, and b) his character snorting cocaine off of an actress's butt. To be fair, these make sense coming from ol' Jack. And Martin Scorsese, ever the pragmatic chap, relented to Jack's insane requests - to the point that you can see both of these things occurring within the very frames of The Departed.

We were all shocked during that scene in the movie theatre when Jack suddenly unleashes a dildo for absolutely no reasons, of course, but presumably put the moment down to Scorsese's better judgement. And yet this part of the film had no artistic merit at all, apparently: it was just something Jack suggested on a whim. For kicks.
