7. Skate Jam Was Almost A Thing

As the world gears up for the incredible cultural event that will be Space Jam 2 in the next couple of years with LeBron James (who, thankfully, is a far superior actor to Michael Jordan), this week saw a reminder that we almost got to say an entirely different sequel.

Back in 2003, the world was still obsessed with Tony Hawk. Pro Skater 4 had just come out, iconic skate movie Grind came out and Linkin Park were at their height. This was a simple time when kids took to the streets to pull off sick ollies and kick-flips rather than taking to social media to call each other Nazis and joke about depression. And it was almost even better, because Tony Hawk almost starred in Skate Jam, which would have used the Space Jam formula only with skateboards...

Thanks to Looney Tunes: Back In Action, it was cancelled. Because apparently we aren't allowed nice things. Imagine how amazing that would have been. After all, skateboards were big business back then. Here's proof:
