10 Most Insane Things That Ever Happened At Comic-Con

1. Tom Hiddleston Appears As Loki

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is full of famous, loveable characters. From the smarm of Tony Stark to the old-school charm of Steve Rogers, the Avengers have millions upon millions of fans. Heck, there's probably someone out there who loves Hawkeye. But in fan circles, their popularity pales in comparison to the MCU's greatest villain (so far): the trickster god Loki.

And boy, do Marvel know it, making him the villain of the first Avengers film, and beefing up his role in the second Thor movie. Then there was the time they brought actor Tom Hiddleston along to Hall H in 2013, in full Loki regalia. His appearance was, of course, heralded by a lot of screaming and excited yelling. Then he got everyone to shut up. Because Hiddleston was in character, he managed to convince a whole part of the Comic-Con population to kneel before him.

Even just watching back the video of that year's Marvel panel is spine-tinglingly awesome. Especially when you consider it was a total surprise. And that Comic-Con attendees rarely ever do what they're told. What other crazy things happened at Comic-Con? Share any other cool events we missed down in the comments.
