9. Chariots of Fire- The Triumph of Eric Liddell

This is a much different form of inspiration than the previous entry, showing us that if you're willing to really fight, to go that extra mile then your dreams can come true. It's a fluffy, gooey Hollywood message that wouldn't be out of place in a children's TV show, but despite this, even the most cynical of people can acknowledge that things like this do happen everyday...just not as often or in such a glossy cinematic way as they would have us believe. It's scenes like this that make us believe that with determination and spirit we can triumph however unlikely the odds. The likes of Eric Liddell and the Olympians of today prove that if you try hard enough, put in the effort and determination then you can achieve something special, be it in sport, your career or in your home life.
