10 Most Intense Moments From The Halloween Movie Franchise
7. Michael And Laurie's Reunion - Halloween: H20
Before David Gordon Green and Danny McBride's Halloween reboot came along and forgot about the previous Halloween sequels, there was 1998's Halloween: H20... which came along and forgot about the previous Halloween sequels. Or at least, most of them. Picking up 20 years after the events of Halloween II, it finds Laurie (a returning Jamie Lee Curtis) hiding out, living under the guise of a headmistress at a boarding school with her teenage son (Josh Hartnett). And then, one fateful Halloween, he comes home. To Laurie's home, that is.
Revitalising the franchise after a spate of critically-derided sequels, H20 is one of the best Halloween movies - featuring a great cast, gnarly kills, and the reunion of Laurie Strode and Michael Myers. And it's Laurie and Michael's reunion which gives this sequel its most spine-chilling sequence. Rescuing her son from Michael's blade, Laurie comes face-to-face with her (e)strange(d) brother. It'd be sweet, if they weren't constantly trying to kill each other.
