10 Most Intense Moments From The Halloween Movie Franchise

5. Michael In The Service Station: Halloween 4

1988's Halloween 4 may not be one of the best Halloween sequels, but it does feature one truly great sequence in this early showdown between Michael and Doctor Loomis (Donald Pleasence). Convinced (and rightly so) that Michael lives, Loomis is hot on the Shape's trail, following him back to his old Haddonfield stomping grounds.

Loomis catches up with Michael on the road, running into his old foe - and before that, his patient - at a desolate service station and diner (where, needless to say, Michael has murdered the staff and patronage). With his role in the movie filmed in a handful of days, Loomis doesn't have a whole lot to do in Halloween 4, but his reunion with Michael gives the film its most memorable and emotionally charged moment. There's even an action sequence of sorts for Pleasence, who opens fire on Michael, only for the Shape to come at him with a truck and a small explosion.
