10 Most Intense Moments From The Halloween Movie Franchise

4. Michael Vs Jamie Lloyd: Halloween 6

Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers is one of the more maligned movies in the franchise, introducing a needlessly convoluted subplot about a pagan cult (the Cult of Thorn), and offing fan-favourite character Jamie Lloyd in the movie's opening moments.

Now played by J.C. Brandy, Jamie - Michael's niece - is on the run from both Michael Myers and a ruthless druid cult. Having given birth to a child of her own, Jamie flees the cult, escaping to a deserted old barn. And it's here that Michael catches up with his niece, impaling her on the blades of a corn thresher before then turning the device on. As Michael watches, Jamie Lloyd dies a messy, painful death, leaving Paul Rudd (!) to take the reins as the film's leading man.

The Curse of Michael Myers and the Cult of Thorn would be ignored in the film's subsequent sequels, but this opening remains one of the franchise's better sequences, and one of Michael's most memorable kills.
