10 Most Intense Western Duels Ever

3. Tombstone (1993)

While many younger readers may not have seen My Darling Clementine, it's likely most have watched the showdown at the O.K. corral as it was presented in 1993's classic film, Tombstone.

The film not only told the tale of the Erp brothers, Doc Holiday, and their epic portrayal by the likes of Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer, Sam Elliott, Bill Paxton, Powers Boothe, and Michael Biehn, it showed the famous gunfight in a more dramatic and violent fashion than any of the films that preceded it.

Unlike other films like My Darling Clementine, this standoff showed the men facing off against one another with only a dozen or so feet separating them. The battle raged in intensity as each man fell, one after the other.

This film took some creative license with the events that actually took place during the gunfight, but that's to be expected in a major Hollywood production like Tombstone. The film was successful and remains as one of the best depictions of the fight to ever find its way to the silver screen.
