1. Victor Stone Used The Mother Box
Throughout Justice League, there were two members of the team who made their DCEU debuts. Barry Allen was technically seen apprehending Captain Boomerang in Suicide Squad, but Aquaman and Cyborg were completely new entities outside of a clip seen by Bruce Wayne in a file.
While Victor Stone was given far more screen time and character development in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, what little of his backstory that was shown in the theatrical release painted a clear enough picture of how he felt about his father.
Victor should have died in the same accident that killed his mother, but Silas Stone couldn’t bear to lose both, and so used the Mother Box to bring his son back. In a way. He was more machine than man, and that machine called his own father a monster for what he did.
Fast forward a few days, after Cyborg and his teammates found out what they were up against in Steppenwolf, and Victor was on Bruce’s side bringing Superman back from the dead with that same Mother Box. He was doing literally the very thing he called his father a monster for not too long ago.
