9. The Entire Premise Of Task Force X

The first iteration of the Suicide Squad in the DC Extended Universe was put together by Amanda Waller in the wake of Superman’s time on Earth. Essentially, they needed someone to fight the planet’s battles should the next Superman turn out to be a terrorist. There is just so much irony that follows this premise, it’s quite ridiculous.

Starting with the obvious, it’s a group of villains that were put together to save the world. It’s the whole bad guys doing good things thing, even though none of them actually did it for the right reasons.

Then there’s the fact that instead of speaking with Batman, whom Waller had a relationship with, or the Flash, they make a team out of the guys not good enough to beat Batman or the Flash. They certainly wouldn’t have ever been a match for the next Superman or Zod. Dawn of Justice showed that Superman would have been impervious to Diablo’s fire, and what do you think would happen if Harley Quinn hit the Man of Steel with her baseball bat?

Finally, there is the fact that Task Force X’s ultimate fight was to stop the witch who was supposed to be the most powerful member of the team herself. If Waller had never tried to control Enchantress, she would never have had to stop her.
