As fans left the theater after Avengers: Infinity War, many were just delirious at what they had just seen. After the Avengers gave it their all and fought tooth and nail to protect the universe, Thanos eventually got what he wanted and snapped half of all life from existence. Avengers: Endgame may have been about the team bringing everybody back, but no one expected something as amazing as this.

Though Professor Hulk is able to snap his fingers and bring everyone back, the original Avengers are still left battered when Thanos comes back to fulfill his destiny. Even with more advanced fighting skills and Captain America wielding Thor's hammer, the team is clearly outmatched. However, things start to take a turn once Steve gets a voice in his ear.

After some rumblings from Falcon, Doctor Strange begins to open portals to reveal all of our favorite Avengers back in full force once again. Along with the faces we know and love like Black Panther and the Guardians, we also see all the keepers of the Sanctum, the entire Wakandan army and Valkyrie on a Pegasus ready to take down the alien army.

The shot is so good that even Thanos marvels at its daringness, as he wields his weapon in a way that says "Now we've got a fight."

Once Cap utters those final words: "Avengers...assemble," the audience is treated to one of the greatest group shots in movie history, whose ambition and epic stature will be hard to top.
