10 Most Jaw-Dropping Shots In MCU History
4. Spiderman: Homecoming - Spidey Lifting Rubble
Marvel fans around the world were overjoyed when it was announced that Spider-Man would officially be joining the MCU. After years of legal battles between Disney and Sony, everyone's favorite wall-crawler was now able to join the ranks of Tony Stark and Steve Rogers as one of the newest faces of the Avengers. On the whole, Spiderman: Homecoming is a fun-filled ride, but the actual character of Spider-Man can be summed up in just one moment.
Towards the climax of the film, Peter tries to stop the Vulture from stealing a ship of Tony Stark's cargo as it's being moved to the Avengers facility. While Vulture clearly admires Parker as an adversary, he ultimately leaves him battered and defenseless as the warehouse they're fighting in crashes down on the teenager.
Pete ends up struggling to break free, even crying out for help at one point, but one glimpse at his reflection in the water gives him the strength he needs to lift himself up.
Not only is this a tremendous scene of self-empowerment for our hero, but it also serves as an amazing call back to Spider-Man No. 33, where we see Spidey pushing himself up above the rubble. Homecoming may not be as integral to the MCU timeline as Infinity War, but this one scene was the culmination of something comic buffs had wanted to see for years.
