10 Most Laughably Stupid Moments In Films In 2012

6. James Bond Survives Skyfall

skyfall-daniel-craig-james-bond-2012-movie-set-images-e6141The Moment: After being shot in the chest with a giant sniper rifle and falling hundreds of feet, back first, into water, James Bond miraculously turns up alive. The Stupidity: The idea of Skyfall was to show James Bond as a fallible character and one who could just as easily be broken as anyone else before he regains his strength and presence through... something; I stopped listening pretty much after the first 15 minutes after the ridiculous opening act came to its conclusion. Naomie Harris is equipped with a massive sniper rifle, which has a sole aim of killing the people it hits from distances far greater than what she was shooting from. We€™ve seen it in games often enough; a sniper rifle has the power to take off arms, legs and heads, so what makes this so stupid? James Bond gets shot in the heart side of the chest before plummeting towards water at a speed, which would almost certainly break his back... Even if he survived the bullet the pain of the fall would leave him unconscious and limp in a stream of water. There is absolutely no believability in this and the film's attempt to shake off a high-powered bullet to the chest is both stupid, and laughable.
