10 Most Likable Movie Villains Of All Time
1. Beetlejuice (Beetlejuice)
You can try to hate Beetlejuice all you want. But even if you briefly succeed, it's only a matter of time before you're involuntarily dancing around your dining room table and singing his praises in the form of Harry Belafonte's Banana Boat Song. That's just the kind of effect he has on people.
That Day-O scene, by the way, is a prime example of why Beetlejuice is so easy to love. He's a manipulative twerp, but he's a manipulative twerp who constantly goes out of his way to entertain the people he's supposed to be antagonizing.
Everything Beetlejuice does is obnoxious. He's rude, he's slimy (literally and figuratively), and he comes off like a horny little creepster for most of the movie. And yet, Michael Keaton does such a fantastic job of imbuing that horny little creepster with a jovial sense of charisma that you can't help but find him endearing.
It also helps that the family he spends much of the time tormenting are some of the worst people on the planet. Two wrongs may not make a right, but Beetlejuice going all Snake Monster on those insufferable Deetz's sure feels right.
