7. Gustav Graves - Die Another Day
Gustav Graves was one bad dude. Raised in North Korea, he leaves his country after supposedly being killed by falling off a waterfall in a hovercraft. What the guy really does is go to gene therapy beauty school to get his DNA restructured. In walked Colonel Moon, out walked British billionaire Gustav Graves. Modeling his new persona on Bond himself, Graves plans to control the world with a giant satellite named Icarus that can focus the power of the sun. James faces him in a few encounters, one involving a deadly sword fight that features a wide range of blades. He finally puts an end to Graves' madness by pulling his parachute before he can clear the plane. Graves is pulled into an engine turbine and shredded into blood dust. The funny thing about Die Another Day is that it's really just an homage to dozens of other moments in Bond films with even more fantastical elements at play. Like a James Bond science fiction movie that references all the other films in some way. Watching it from that angle is a whole new experience.
