10 Most Messed Up Deaths In The Star Wars: Sequel Trilogy
1. All Luke's Students That Died In The Destruction Of His Temple - Episode VIII - The Last Jedi
Everything about this awful event is all kinds of messed up.
For starters, the incident that led to Luke Skywalker's Jedi Temple going up in flames, as seen in Episode VIII: The Last Jedi, was little more than an awkward and regrettable misunderstanding.
Seeing into the mind of his young student Ben Solo, Luke Skywalker saw the growing darkness within him and instinctively ignited his lightsaber as the thought of killing him crossed his mind. Said horrible idea soon passed, but the damage was already done as Ben woke up to see his trusted master stood over him with a weapon.
Confused, angered and hurt by Luke's betrayal, Ren would then head out and ultimately kill many of Skywalker's other students with a lightning storm aimed at the temple (according to Charles Soule's The Rise of Kylo Ren comic).
Though he didn't mean to kill his fellow students, it was already too late, with a number of budding Force-users losing their lives in their sleep all thanks to Luke and Ben's moment of devastating confusion.
This is why you should think before you act, folks.
