10 Most Messed Up Deaths In The Star Wars: Sequel Trilogy
9. Supreme Leader Snoke Is Shockingly Halved - Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi
Now again, this is a case of a sequel villain very much earning the grisly demise they received, but that didn't make it any less effed up to watch.
Throughout Episodes VII and VIII, the cruel Supreme Leader Snoke had been both leading the awful First Order and manipulating Kylo Ren in the shadows. In other words, he's the big bad of the trilogy so far. So, it was certainly satisfying to watch him be surprisingly fooled and bested by his pupil towards the end of The Last Jedi.
Seeing someone's body be split in two and roll across the room will never not be a distressing sight, though.
Believing that Ren was about to "kill his true enemy" Rey within his throne room, Snoke's senses betrayed him. Instead, Ren was actually planning on doing exactly that to his powerful master, using the Force to turn the Skywalker family lightsaber and bisect the strandcast where he sat.
Snoke's stunned mug, his torso flopping to the ground like a sack of potatoes in the background, and the embers from his singed lower half flickering in the air all combine to create a death that is barbarous, shocking, and pleasing all at once.
What a messed up combination.
